The Benefits of Staffing Resources
Charlotte Muller, Vice President and Branch Manager at KNF&T recommends this post. Many candidates may see using staffing resources as helpful or as a tool they want to use when trying to get a job. But going to a staffing agency (which is free to you!) can be one of the best decisions you can make in your job search. There are many ways the agency can help you: they can find the right match for your skill set, offer you temporary and permanent work, as well as help you with your resume and interview techniques. This can make the whole process easier.
The staffing consultant’s job is to match you with one of their client’s open positions- this essentially means someone is doing a lot of the work for you! Staffing consultants are professionals who have had training on how to match up candidates and positions. With staffing resources at your fingertips and your consultant’s help you may be able to get into the right position at the right time. By using an agency you are upping your chances of landing the perfect position for your skill set and previous experiences.
There is also the benefit of being able to find both temporary and permanent work at a staffing agency. Although you may not get placed immediately, they will keep searching to find you the perfect fit, and there are many benefits of having temporary work made available to you. If you are looking for a full time job but don’t know exactly what you want to do, or if you want to work while looking for a permanent position, a temporary job can be the answer. Many candidates don’t feel like a temporary job would help them, but it really can be a great way to find out what you like and don’t like and where you may be a good fit.
You will experience other benefits when using staffing resources as well. Your consultant will do a resume review, where they will look over your resume and if they have any suggestions on how to improve upon it, they will let you know. With a well written resume in an easy to read format, a hiring manager will be more likely to want to meet with you. Your consultant will also provide you with tips for your interview, as well as detailed information about the position and company you are going to interview for. In many situations these extra tips and suggestions will end up with you getting placed in a new job!
